A beautiful evening to explore the legacy and depth of Burgundy through the wines of Maison Marchand.
The Story of Maison Marchand...
The origin of Maison Marchand dates back to February 24, 1813, in Morey-Saint-Denis. On that day, Pierre Marchand, a winemaker from Reulle-Vergy in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, married Marie Jacotier, heiress to her father’s wine estate.
Since then, the domaine has grown and matured through seven generations of winemakers — Pierre, François, François-Joseph, Émile, and Claude among them — always rooted in the heart of Burgundy.
In 1983, Claude Marchand acquired a charming 18th-century wine house in the center of Gevrey-Chambertin, entrusting the estate’s future to his eldest son, Jean-Philippe Marchand. Today, the domaine’s vineyards stretch across some of the most prestigious villages of the Côte de Nuits — Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Gevrey-Chambertin.
